Gun Lake is located in Yankee Springs and Orangeville Township in Barry County, and in Wayland and Martin townships in Allegan County. The lake is 10 miles west of Hastings, 25 miles southeast of Grand Rapids, and 30 miles northeast of Kalamazoo. Gun Lake is best known for its abundant bass fishery, both smallmouth, and largemouth. Numerous perch provide steady action throughout the year. Featured Species include: Northern Pike, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Bluegill.
